Dr. Morency graduated with high honors from Roosevelt University in Chicago in 1973 with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. He attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine and graduated with a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 1977. He then enrolled in the Post-doctoral training program at Harvard in Prosthetic Dentistry where he received a degree of Master of Science. During his postdoctoral training, Dr. Morency was awarded a teaching Fellowship (1978-1979) and has been teaching other dentists in the technique, art, and science of dentistry for the last 25 years. In 1979, Dr. Morency joined the United States Navy Dental Corps and was named Chief Prosthodontist at the Naval Regional Medical Center at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station.
Following his military obligation, Dr. Morency founded The Arena Towers Dental Center in Houston, now known as The Smile Enhancement Center, where he has practiced Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry for the last 25 years.
In 1998, Dr. Morency began attending classes at Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). In 1999, he completed the Masters Course at LVI in Aesthetic Dentistry. In 2008, Dr. Morency sold the practice to Dr. Mammen. This has allowed him the opportunity to re-focus both his professional and personal life. Personally, it has allowed him to spend more time with his family. Professionally, it has allowed him the ability to limit his practice to those aspects of dentistry that he enjoys the most: full mouth reconstruction, TMJ, and advanced cosmetics.
Besides his passion for Artistry and Dentistry, Dr. Morency is an avid portrait photographer.
